The Hills Are Alive, With the Sound of Music!

After a little inspiration from the Austrian-themed hen do I went to last weekend, I’ve finally listed my new jam jar sculpture….. Inspired by the opening scene from The Sound of Music, this miniature scene features Maria atop a meadowy mountain, with her arms outstretched in song.

I love making these tiny pieces of art, and must get onto making a few more of the scenes I’ve been planning! If you have any ideas or requests, do let me know!

You can now buy this jam jar scene on my Etsy shop for just £35….. I hope you like it!

Wednesday Wants…. all sorts in one place on Folksy

So I’m finding myself rather strapped for time at the minute…. getting things ready for craft fairs and getting ready for some very busy weekends coming up. And so this week I’ve had less time to get distracted by my virtual shopping habit. Still, if I need a fix, or even to buy something for real, I needn’t look any further than Folksy. Like its American counterpart, Folksy promotes and helps small businesses and crafty types like me…. just in the UK though for Folksy. I’ve found it great to use and I’m really enjoying having a shop on there (you should come see it some time!).

So, I thought that today I would share a few of my current favourites on Folksy….. enjoy!…..
